This review is for the location in the alleyway, not the 76 Jiaodaokuo South located on the main street. We came due to recommendation by Lonely Planet and TripAdvisor, but since the location on the main street was busy, we decided to try the alleyway one. We ordered the spicy bowl dip that everyone suggested. The dip was barely warm, which meant all the food we dipped were also lukewarm. Really wanted to like it but it tasted awful. Waited about 25 min for our food and received only 1 dish, meanwhile tables after us were quickly getting their food. So we decided to get our check and bounce. In summary: 1. The diners sharing our table were very helpful and friendly. 2. The place is your typical hole in the wall venue. Menu is only in Chinese with no pictures. 3. Diners did tell me the food here were the best. I'll have to take their word for it. 4. Will not come back here and do not recommend this location to anyone who can't read/speak Chinese.
